چکیده

In this paper, a microfiber knot resonator (MKR) was encapsulated in polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), and its capability to sense temperature experimentally evaluated. A very high sensitivity of -12 nm/°C recorded for the MKR device, with diameter 2μm ring 95 μm. However, light-loss significant small MKR. We attribute low ratio ring-length microfiber-diameter. stable temperature-sensing performance negative 8.48 were obtained MKRs 3 μm mm. device non-uniform (in diameter) also fabricated studied. This compact miniature temperature-probe will be promising candidate wearable devices.

Numerical Calculation of Seawater Temperature Sensing Based on Polydimethylsiloxane-Coated Microfiber Knot Resonator

A seawater temperature sensing method based on polydimethylsiloxane-coated (PDMS-coated) microfiber knot resonator (MKR) is proposed, which has the advantages of high sensitivity and weak salinity dependence. The dependences of the temperature sensitivity on fiber diameter, coating thickness and probing wavelength are theoretically investigated and the range of coating thickness for weak salini...

Temperature Sensing in Seawater Based on Microfiber Knot Resonator

Ocean internal-wave phenomena occur with the variation in seawater vertical temperature, and most internal-wave detections are dependent on the measurement of seawater vertical temperature. A seawater temperature sensor based on a microfiber knot resonator (MKR) is designed theoretically and demonstrated experimentally in this paper. Especially, the dependences of sensing sensitivity on fiber d...

Design and simulation of a highly sensitive photonic crystal temperature sensor based on a cavity filled with the distilled water

In this paper design and two dimensional (2D) simulation of a photonic crystal highly sensitive temperature sensor is presented. The 2D simulations are based on finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method and are done using Rsoft software. The device is constructed using a cavity filled with the distilled water located in the center of the photonic crystal waveguide. The operation of the propos...

Design and Simulation of a New Highly Sensitive Gas Sensor Based on Negative Refraction Photonic Crystal

In this paper, design and simulation of a new highly sensitive gas sensor based on a hybrid photonic crystal (PC) structure, containing negative and positive refractive index sections, is presented. It has been shown that using a PC with negative refraction in the first section, the transmitted power is concentrated on the entrance of the sensing channel, and the transmission of the proposed se...
